NINA LEWIS            

I began my career in the Nail and Make-up industry studying in North London in 1992.

 

I initially started in the Harrods Hair and Beauty Department as a Nail technician servicing all nail treatments. I was then headhunted by Charles Worthington to work in his flagship store Goodge Street London as a nail specialist for Jessica nails. This role included intensive training by Jessica herself.

 

I departed Charles Worthington to pursue a career in the Music and Television industry working with Simon Cowell and Syco Productions, ITV and Sony BMG.

 

In later years, I was yet again headhunted by The Joy Goodman Agency as an Editorial nail specialist and went on to work on advertising campaigns such as Harrods Magazine, Vogue magazine, The Body Shop, Swarovski, Legally Blonde, Rimmel, Escarda and was also featured in an article in the femail section of the Daily Mail.

 

I have always felt passionate about transferring my skills and experience to others so in 2009 began studying towards Diploma to teach in the Lifelong Learning Sector.

 

I qualified in 2011 and have taught in various FE colleges and private sectors.

 

I am also a qualified Assessor.

One of my achievements includes mentoring a student who went on to win the Regional and National world skills competition, she is now a manager in COWSHED Spas.

I have worked in various further education colleges in Central london as a Hair, Nails and Media make-up lecturer and I am considered to be a Master in my field.
